Six top officials at the Blue Grass Airport will no longer have credit cards issued by the board after it was revealed that three employees racked up $4,500 in charges at a Texas strip club.
Board chairman Bernard Lovely told the Lexington Herald-Leader Monday that the cards would be canceled.
Executive director Michael Gobb resigned last week after it was revealed he spent more than $200,000 on travel and other expenses in just more than two years.
Lovely said Gobb was among those at the 2003 strip club outing, but he would not say who else was involved because an investigation is ongoing.
Lexington Vice Mayor Jim Gray says no new board members should be appointed, and no out-of-state travel allowed until the airport is audited.
Lexington's mayor appoints board members for the public, nonprofit airport, which uses both private and public funds.
