A Barren County Judge followed the Jury's recommendations in sentencing Nate Wood of Glasgow.
Wood was found guilty last month of murdering 33-year-old Anna Jones in January 2001. He was also convicted of holding a woman hostage on Burkesville road during a standoff with police.
He was given life without parole for the murder and kidnapping conviction and 45 years combined on other charges.
