Hometown Hero - Robert Kirby

Financial advising is just one hat 73 year old Robert Kirby has worn throughout the years.

Kirby's list of honors for volunteering countless hours to various community organizations easily fill up an entire wall.

But Kirby says, community service is a natural part of life.

In 1999 Kirby was awarded the Jefferson Award followed by the Western Kentucky University award in 2001.

He's been very involved with the Salvation Army for over thirty years.

Kirby also finds time to chair numerous boards such as friends of L and N Depot, BG's technical college, WKU board of advisers and the United Way - and all this just to name a few.

Kirby says he come from four generations of Warren Countians and that his love of his home land makes every one of his efforts count.
