Police are hoping surveillance video leads them to the suspect in an eastern Kentucky gas station robbery.

The man walked into Chevron in Paintsville early Sunday morning.

Surveillance cameras caught him wandering around the store and even making small talk with the clerk before pulling a knife on her behind the register.

"Made conversation with the clerk then he decided to do the robbery then fled. So he was there quite a long time," said one onlooker.

The clerk was not hurt.

Police say the man got into a newer model red Ford pick-up truck parked down the road.
