The family of a passenger on Comair Flight 51-91 has sued the airline today, claiming the regional airline was negligent leading up to Sunday morning's crash that resulted in the deaths of 49 of the 50 people aboard.
The family of passenger Rebecca Adams said in the suit that Adams suffered conscious pain and suffering during the crash and subsequent fire.
Attorney Bobby Wombles wrote in the lawsuit: "This occurrence speaks for itself; that is such an occurrence could not have happened if those having control of the instrumentality had not been negligent."
Comair spokesman Nick Miller says he cannot comment on any pending litigation.
