The wreck happened at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, three miles west of Crofton on highway 800 in Christian County.

KSP says 44-year-old Alan Ladd of Crofton let his eastbound GMC Jimmy drift into the westbound lane, forcing 40-year-old Donald York II to swerve his Crofton Volunteer Firetruck out of Ladd's way.

The firetruck flipped several times, coming to rest against a tree.

York and his passenger, 19-year-old K.C. York, were treated at the Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

Ladd was in the Christian County Detention Center, charged with driving under the influence of drugs.
