Kentucky State Police are investigating a very large residential burglary in the Claiborne farms subdivision. Sometime late Saturday night, July 24, a burglar or burglars, forced their way into a residence on Keeneland Court.
Once inside, they stole several thousand dollars in property, including a Sony 50-inch plasma television, an RCA 45-inch television, a hooded fur coat, jewelry, Harley-Davidson collectibles, and original art pieces.
Rare items, such as a bear vase, and a handmade knife with a stone blade and bear jawbone handle were stolen.
There are two clues that may help solve this crime. The suspects left a desert camouflage tan CamelBak hydration backpack at the scene, with their burglar tools inside.
When the burglar or burglars left, they left in style, stealing a 2005 Mercedes-Benz from the garage. But they didn't get far. The car was recovered in a church parking lot on Parkland Way off Memphis Junction Road.
