Fletcher helps Ford

Governor Ernie Fletcher and Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson are working on an incentive package designed to keep the city's two Ford plants open.

Fletcher and Abramson met with Ford officials Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, to discuss ways to help the financially troubled automaker's operations in Louisville, Ky.

Fletcher says the incentive package could be put before the general assembly in January 2007 although he is open to a special session if necessary.
