People living in the Eastern Kentucky coalfields don't live as long as people in the rest of the state.
A report released Monday says the average man in Harlan County has a life expectancy of about 67 years.
The average Appalachian resident lives to be 75.
The mountain region is underserved.
There is about one Primary Care Physician for every 1,200 people.
The standard in urban areas is one for every 900 people.
