After more than year of renovations the Capitol Arts Building is officially open. Today marked the first performance at the newly renovated theater. In November of 2001 the theater had problems with crumbling ceiling plaster and asbestos forcing the theater to close for repairs.
Since that time half a million dollars worth of renovations have fixed the ceiling, re-painted the stage, cleaned the seats, and added a new acoustics system. Theater directors plan to host an official grand opening the last weekend of July.
