Bowling Green Bank Robbery

Another Bowling Green bank falls victim to a robbery.

Police say a white male entered the National City bank on Russellville Road around 2:15 p.m.

The suspect passed a note to the teller demanding money.

Police say they are unsure whether or not the suspect had a weapon, but they say the teller erred on the side of caution.

Bowling Green Police Officer Jerry Corbitt says it’s basically just best to comply with the demands or the suspect and not take any chances.

The suspect was last seen walking in the parking lot eastbound towards the direction of town.

Police say the suspect is described as a white male with strawberry blonde hair and a goatee.

Police say he is 34 to 36 years old, six foot one to six foot two, and weighs 160 to 180 pounds.

The suspect was wearing an orange color t-shirt and tan cut-off cargo shorts.

If you know anything about this incident you are urged to call the Bowling Green Police Department at (270) 393-4000.
