Bowling Green welcomed in a new business on Saturday. Haripriya Kanuparthy opened the franchise called Kumon. It's a learning center that will be dedicated to giving kids at all levels an extra boost in reading and math skills.
Kanuparthy says after driving her son to Hendersonville, Tennessee for one and a half years to take part in the Kumon center there, she decided Bowling Green needed its own center.
The Kumon system was developed by Toru Kumon of Japan.
If you'd like to get more information about Kumon, you can log on to www.kumon.com or you can call 1-800-ABC-MATH.
