A Todd County woman is now behind bars, charged with stealing nearly $28,000 in charitable gaming funds from a senior citizens center.

Paula Marie Terrones was indicted by the Todd County Grand Jury in July, 2006, on 131 counts of forgery in the second degree and 131 counts of theft by unlawful taking.

Terrones was arrested in Clarksville, Tenn., on Monday, Sept. 11, 2006.
Terrones was the bookkeeper for the Guthrie Senior citizens center.

Authorities say she deposited checks into her personal bank account that were made out to charitable gaming supply companies.
The thefts occurred from July 2003 through September 2005.
