President Barack Obama and Senate Republicans are bickering over a huge economic recovery plan.
The debate continued Saturday, even after Friday's late-night bargaining that stripped 108-billion dollars in spending from the Senate's version of the plan.
Many Senate Republicans disagree with the plan, and say the economy should be tackled first in the housing market where they say the problem started.
United States Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell spoke about the housing market this evening in Bowling Green at a Lincoln Day reception, hosted by the Republican Party of Warren County.
"Ninety-percent of people who are in homes are on time with their mortgages. The ten-percent who aren't created the problem for everybody, so that's why we'd go straight at the housing problem, solve it first, and we think everything else will get better," said McConnell.
Stay tuned to WBKO tomorrow night at 10 to hear more on the stimulus plan from Senator Mitch McConnell and Congressman Brett Guthrie.
