Body piercings in Kentucky will soon be changing. Starting in November a new law will require piercing businesses to maintain state health regulations. Also under the law, anyone under eighteen must now ask Mom or Dad before getting pierced.
Some regulations health departments will be examining include health and cleanliness of the business, sterilization of needles, procedures to prevent the spread of disease, and the ways to prevent the piercing of minors without parent consent.
The law was passed last year but the state has just now decided how to put the law into effect next month.
