Warren County Deputy Thwarts Anhydrous Theft

On a routine patrol of Richpond Crop Service on Three Springs Road, Captain Tony Chism of the Warren County Sheriff's Department said he saw Justin Collins around the anhydrous ammonia tanks.

As Captain Chism approached, he said Collins jumped into a gold Dodge van driven by Wendy Miller, and one of them either kicked or pitched a cooler containing anhydrous ammonia out of the van.

The lid came off, contaminating Chism and both suspects, but he was still able to take them into custody. All three were treated and released from the hospital.

Twenty-three-year-old Justin K. Collins is charge with tampering with anhydrous ammonia, theft of anhydrous ammonia, and wanton endangerment of a police officer.

Thirty-five-year-old Wendy L. Miller is charged with theft with intent to manufacture meth and wanton endangerment of a police officer. Both are in jail without bond.
