Severe Weather Leaves Trail of Damage

A wave of thunderstorm cells left a trail of damage across Southern Kentuky on Monday. Structural damage was reported in many counties, with reports of downed trees and power lines common throughout the area.

The only storm-related fatality occurred in Bowling Green when Billy Trowbridge, 59, was electrocuted while working on a transformer box at Beech Bend Park that had been damaged by the storm. The park was closed at the time of the incident.
