Capitol Arts Alliance Prepares for Grand Reopening of Theatre

Workers are putting finishing touches on the Capitol Arts Theatre after its undergone $400,000 worth of renovations. The roof had to be replaced after heavy rains caused parts of it to crumble in November of 2001.

The Alliance has also been able to replace the air conditioning system, make lighting changes and paint. A ribbon cutting for the grand re-opening will be held this Friday at 4:30 at the Capitol.

A Capitol Block Party will be held Friday night following the Concert in the Park. Children's activities will be held Saturday from three to seven, followed by a fundraiser in which the upcoming season will be unveiled.
