Warren County EPA officials are hoping you can help them catch someone who has endangered the environment and residents' health.
An unknown individual dumped 76 large truck tires on the side of Murphy Road in rural Warren County on Sunday night. EPA officials say tire dump sites are especially hazardous because they are fertile breeding grounds for mosquitoes who may be carrying the West Nile virus.
Warren County alone is currently processing over 100 illegal dump sites, with taxpayers and private property owners picking up the tab for cleanup of such sites.
If you have any information regarding the Murphy Road dump site or any other illegal dump site, you can call the Warren County EPA at 791-6130.
