Construction crews at WKU are working overtime to make sure the university's new Mass Media and Technology Hall will be ready in time for fall classes.
The multi-million dollar building almost fell behind schedule after the contractor in charge ran out of money and decide to pull out. Merit Construction has taken over the project and Western officials say they're confident classes will be held in the facility come Aug. 18. The university hopes to have faculty and staff moved into the building by Aug. 11, barring further delays.
Officials say although classes will be held in the new building, construction crews will continue working on many cosmetic items both inside and out.
