The countdown continues for students, teachers, and principals who are all getting ready to the start of the school year.
But let's not forget about the custodians and maintenance crews who are also hard at work, preparing for the big day. Rita Miller has been a custodian at Briarwood Elementary ever since the school opened in 2001.
Co-workers say Miller really takes pride in her work because she loves the kids. This summer she's been busy getting ready for school to open again. Since summer break is winding down Miller says she is ready to see the hallways bustle with activity, despite the work that lies ahead the next few days.
