B-24 Bomber Comes to Bowling Green

By Jonathan Hardison |

If you've ever dreamed of flying in a WWII Bomber, you dream can come true this week in Bowling Green.

"Diamond Lil," one of only two airworthy B-24 bombers in existence is on display on the Co-Mar Aviation Ramp at the Bowling Green Airport. The 30,000-pound aircraft is considered one of the most difficult aircraft to fly because of the complexity of its controls.

A B-29 Flying Fortress Bomber is expected to arrive later this week, perhaps as early as Friday.

The display will be open from 9am-6pm daily through Sunday. Tickets are $3 for adults, and $1 for children.

If you would like to schedule a ride on the B-24 for $350 a seat, call the crew at (432) 413-4100.
