Construction crews working on the Cave Mill Road project are running behind schedule. Many parents and bus drivers who use the road to get to Natcher Elementary say they are growing impatient with the delay.
Project managers say construction has been delayed due to rainy weather. The project was set to finish before school started but now it may be done by late September. Parents and drivers say they are ready for the roadwork to be done. Construction crews say they need five days of dry weather before they can lay the asphalt. City officials estimate that 10,000 drivers use Cave Mill Road every day.
