Today marks April Fool's Day, but there's another event taking place this month that is nothing to joke about.
April also marks Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Here in Bowling Green, the Family Enrichment Center, Lost River Elementary School, as well as many other community members came together to sign child abuse prevention proclamations.
Blue ribbons are worn to bring attention to the crime, which hurts hundreds of children in our area.
Lost River raised about $1300 - more than any other Warren county school - as part of February's "Buckets of Hope" coin collection campaign.
"Buckets of Hope" raised about $12,000 in all.
