Veterans Wall May Be Added to Glasgow Cemetery

An area city commission could decide whether to build a veteran’s memorial.

Victoria Sutherland went before the Glasgow City Commission on Sept. 11, 2006 asking for the rights to 200 feet of land on the hill at the Glasgow Cemetery for the wall. On Sept. 25, 2006, the city commission will vote on the matter.

The estimated cost for the memorial is more than $120,000. Names will be listed on rose colored granite bricks. Veterans from all over, living and deceased, could have their names added to the monument.
