Some streets in a Bowling Green, Ky., neighborhood will soon be getting much needed repairs.
More than 4,000 feet of road in the Northern Heights/Parker Bennet neighborhood will be reconstructed. The existing concrete pavement in the area will be turned into a base for an asphalt surface.
Funding will come from a $500,000 discretionary bond grant from the Department of Intergovernmental Programs.
State Sen. Brett Guthrie announced the grant at City Hall the morning of Sept. 27, 2006, but a formal announcement and check presentation from Transportation Secretary Bill Nighbert will be made Oct. 2, 2006, at 3:30 p.m. in front of Parker Bennett Elementary School.
