Tomorrow rush starts on Western's campus but the way the Greek system operates may soon be changing. Since June a Greek life task force has been meeting. The task force was formed in reaction to the death of freshman Katie Autry. Autry reportedly partied at a fraternity house hours before she was raped and murdered in her dorm room last May.
Eighteen people sit on the task force, including police officers, firefighters, and greek students. Some of the main issues being discussed are delaying rush to second semester, the greek village, or the topic of alcohol and parties at fraternities.
