Warren RECC announced Sept. 28, 2006, that as of Oct. 1, 2006, all customers will see lower electric rates. The rate reduction is coming from the Tennessee Valley Authority, the cooperative's power supplier.
Based on a typical customer's usage of 1,200 kilowatt hours of electricity each month, the reduction will amount to about $3.50 in savings. TVA also said that beginning in January 2007, they will impose a fuel cost adjustment which will affect the rates of electrical distributors like Warren RECC.
This will mark the first time TVA consumers will see a separate item on their monthly electric bill for fuel costs associated with the generation of electricity.
