A local Bowling Green woman is using her talents to help your soldiers overseas.
Lynn Carey owner of Candee Creations donated seventy hours to the Army National Guard by making cans that will be filled with care items. These cans will be shipped overseas for Christmas to troops from our area.
President of the Family Readiness Group, Robin Skaggs said, “We’re here, life goes on, on a day-to-day basis over there they need to be reminded that we care.”
You can help by donating items to fill the cans and dropping them off at the American Red Cross.
Also, the Dollar Tree on Campbell Lane is allowing you to purchase items to leave at their location and they will transport them to the Army National Guard for you.
Here is a list of items they are looking for to fill the cans:
Items will be taken until Oct. 18, 2006.
