Four people are dead after an accident in Monroe County.
State police say 76-year-old Grover Evans of Tompkinsville, was southbound on Kentucky State Highway 163 last night, when he ran into the back of a tractor. Police say his Ford Contour rolled onto its side into the northbound lane and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
Evans and three of his passengers were killed in the accident. Fifty-three-year-old Larry Hawkins and 64-year-old Dimple Hawkins of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, as well as 83-year-old Robert Calvin of Tompkinsville were killed.
The driver of the tractor, Druie Wood, was not hurt. Cory Wheeler, a teen driving the other vehicle was treated and released at a nearby hospital.
