Governor Fletcher says he is doing everything within his power to keep The Communities at Oakwood open and operating.
His remarks were made to members of the Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce Wednesday morning.
The governor says the state is doing everything possible to retain funding for what he called, "an outstanding facility".
Oakwood has received about 25 Class A citations during the past two years, for alleged abuse and neglect of residents. Fifteen employees have been charged with mistreating residents.
