Attendance at Mammoth Cave National Park is decreasing and officials are trying to reverse the trend.
Visitation to the park fell from a little more than 566,000 visitors in 1992 to over 347,000 last year. A park superintendent says park officials are working with privately owned cave attractions to cross-promote and sell tickets.
Visitation to national parks has been falling for nearly 20 years. A study by a University of Illinois researcher blames the decline on competition from video games and computers.
