A man accused of animal cruelty has started a chain of events in Scottsville's animal control department. Dog owner Lonnie Douglas is accused of driving his truck with his dog tied to the back.
Douglas was cited by the Allen County Control Officer who took the man's dogs away. The animal control officer, Robert Henry, was fired after taking action without first notifying Judge Executive Johnny Hobdy.
Meanwhile, Lonnie Douglas who allegedly abused the dog has been summoned to appear in court next week on animal cruelty charges.
