Cave City resident Billy Claywell is on his way home tonight after being shot during a workplace violence incident in Cincinnati that left 2 men dead.
Police say Thomas West, a disgruntled ex-employee of Watkins Motor Line Inc. drove through a security checkpoint, walked up to the company's offices, and began shooting with two guns. Two men died, three others including Claywell were hurt. A bullet entered Claywell's back, and then exited his body.
Sharon Claywell, Billy's wife, received a call from her husband who was on his way to the hospital, then headed in to work at a local restaurant. Co-workers say Claywell was in tears, and talked with friends for a few minutes before returning home. Several hours later, she and her daughter received a call from Mr. Claywell letting her know he was on the way home.
Mr. Claywell is expected home by late Thursday night and will visit a local doctor on Friday afternoon.
