More than 100 pigs have disappeared from a farm under quarantine.

Maryland Agriculture Officials have warned Kentucky and 10 other states about the missing pigs. Officials believe the pigs may be infected with a harmful parasite.

The quarantine has been in effect since April 1, 2006, when a pig infected with the parasite was found on the farm.

A letter was sent to Agriculture Officials in Kentucky, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and New Jersey.

The owners of the farm were indicted on July, 19, 2006, on criminal counts, which include animal cruelty, feeding garbage to swine and selling contaminated meat on the property.
