For many students heading to the hill for the first time they have probably been warned about the infamous Freshman 15. The Freshman 15 comes from the idea that students gain excessive weight during their first year in college.
Health experts say many freshmen who are away from home have more freedom. As a result they stray away from healthy eating habits and some aren't used to managing their time like they should and stop exercising. In order to avoid the weight gain health experts say students should manage their time and plan an exercise routine. Dieticians recommend that students use common sense when picking out food to eat.
