A Warren County jury took more than nine hours to reach a surprising verdict in the trial of Matthew Melton Jackson, charged with a string of robberies and rapes at local Blockbuster Video stores.

The jury found Jackson guilty of three counts each of 1st degree robbery by complicity, and 1st degree burglary by complicity. However, the jury found Jackson not guilty of the multiple rape charges filed against him.

Jackson has already been sentenced to 35 years in prison for a string of similar incidents in Tennessee. Sentencing in for the convictions in Warren County will begin Friday morning at the Warren County Justice Center.
