Veterans Day is becoming more of a prominent holiday in high schools. In March, Gov. Patton signed into law a bill that requires all high schools to use one class period to observe the holiday with a five-day window preceding Veterans Day.

Legislators who supported the bill say it's aimed to make students understand and appreciate the role of veterans.

Students at Warren Central High School held ceremonies throughout the day honoring Veterans. Many veterans introduced themselves and answered questions for students in the classroom.

Besides the classroom sessions, students held a concert and flag raising ceremony in honor of our veterans.
