I-65 Driver Charged With Manslaughter

Thirty-one-year-old Eleazar Esquivel of Montgomery, Alabama is also charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and not having a driver's license.

Police say on January 28, 2006, Esquivel struck and killed 25-year-old Robert Haskins near the 24-mile-marker of I-65. Haskins had just exited a parked car driven by Stevie Page of Edmonton. Page was also charged with DUI.

Esquivel is out on bond, pending his next court appearance.
