Early Shoppers Hit Stores

Well it's officially the start of the holiday shopping season with some bargain hunters hitting the stores at 5 a.m. Friday morning. Retail experts are looking for one of the best holiday shopping seasons in several years. In fact they're expecting a sales jump of nearly six percent this year.

Some people are still unsure of the shopping season with problems overseas and area job lay-offs though. Economists say that with a heavy shopping season there may not be as many sales designed to lure shoppers.
