A Bowling Green woman was honored for her contributions to the community and advancement of women in the business world.
Heather Rogers is the recipient of the 21st Annual Athena award, announced by the Bowling Green Area Chamber and Martin Automotive group. Rogers is the president of Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky, she's been with the non-profit organization since 1999.
"So this is a great honor to be selected this year as the winner, there's been a lot of outstanding women that have received this award, I just feel honored to be included in that group of women," Rogers said.
Rogers will officially be honored at the Athena Luncheon at the Bowling Green Country Club on Nov. 14, 2006.
