According to the latest unemployment report from the state, Monroe County has one of the highest unemployment rates at more than eleven percent, but with the help of some regional grant money, teachers are hoping to bring more jobs to the area.

In Monroe County, students can enroll in the entrepreneurship program. It's a class where students basically run their own business. Students learn how to establish a business and produce a profit. In the high school students are selling custom designed products. At the middle school they are baking and selling cookies on Fridays.
