Lewisburg Mayor Arrested On Assault Charges
A Lewisburg man is in jail after allegedly shooting another man in the leg.

A Lewisburg man is in jail after allegedly shooting another man in the leg.
Logan county deputies were called to the scene on Mortimor Road in Adairville at around 10:30 last night.
When they arrived, they found 57-year-old Larry Lee, of Franklin, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Lee was taken to Logan Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.
Sixty two-year-old Kenneth Whitson, who is the mayor of Lewisburg, was arrested at the scene and charged with assault first degree.
Whitson is lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.
