Some area children are working to clean up their neighborhoods. They're picking up trash, sweeping the sidewalks, and painting over graffiti. Children from the Bowling Green Boys and Girls Club are participating in a community outreach program with the Bowling Green Police Department, Eagle Industries, and Scott Waste Management.
Leaders at the Boys and Girls Club are trying to wipe out the problem by teaching children at an early age not to vandalize. Children say the lesson is sinking in and they want to keep Bowling Green clean.
Tuesday is the first day for the clean-up project. The Boys and Girls Club plans on visiting many more neighborhoods with different jobs.
