Governor Ernie Fletcher spent time at Parker-Bennett-Curry Elementary School giving money to other areas of the Bowling Green community.

He presented the City of Bowling Green with $500,000 to re-surface the streets around Parker-Bennett.

Governor Fletcher says that with a school in the neighborhood, it was important that the surrounding roads provide safe access for everyone.

A $250,000 check was also handed to the city for renovations to the old courthouse's cupola and sofits.
