Brian Morrison has been the band director at Greenwood High since the school opened in 1990. He has seen the band grow from 70 members to 183. They have a budget of $150,000.
The group is now raising $130,000 more so each band member can travel to Washington D.C. next Memorial Day to perform at the World War II Veterans dedication.
His students say his discipline and caring attitude have brought them this far.
