It's been called the future site of a miniature town. Jim Scott, owner of Scotty's Development Company won a preliminary approval from the City-County Planning Commission of Warren County for a 535-acre development.
The development would hold almost 500 houses, a golf course and condos. And for the time being this development could help Warren County residents save a few bucks.
If Scott puts sprinklers in his condos, then a fire station that is planned to be built will be delayed by four or five years. Scott will have to show detailed construction plans of what he plans to do before he gets approved again.
If built the new development would have three different areas called the Overlook, the Farm, and the Village. The site is three miles south of I-65 just off Old Scottsville Road.
