Social Work Safety

More than 200 social workers from across the state were in Kentucky’s capitol on Nov. 10, 2006, to tell lawmakers what the general assembly can do to make social work safer.

This is after the death of Western Kentucky social worker, Boni Frederick who was killed during a visit with a parent who no longer had custody of her child. The mother and her boyfriend are accused of Frederick’s murder.

Frederick’s mother, Sandy Travis attended the meeting with legislators.
