A memorial ride gets ready to kick off this weekend in Logan county for an area fallen soldier.

The third annual Fallen Hero's Motorcycle Ride is this Saturday.

The 85-mile ride honors Corporal Joshua Moore, who was killed May 30th, 2007, while on patrol in Baghdad, Iraq.

A portion of the route on Highway 3519 is also being named in Josh's honor.

Kentucky State Police will escort riders throughout the entire course.

Josh's mom says the KSP escort is especially meaningful for her son.

The ride begins this Saturday, May 30th, at the Sav-A-Lot on Armory Drive in Russellville.

Registration runs from 8 to 9:15 a.m., and kickstands are up at 9:30.

Registration is ten dollars per bike, and all donations go to the Joshua Moore Scholarship Fund.
