Storage unit owners are keeping a closer eye on their property after illegal activity at one Bowling Green storage facility. This Saturday firefighters responded to a fire at Jimmy Diemer's storage unit that is believed to be caused by a meth lab.

Many other storage unit managers heard about the incident and are considering beefing up their security even more. Elaine Price, manager of Fairview Storage, says the best way to prevent illegal activity is to keep a close eye on the property.

Many storage units have renter background checks and surveillance cameras.
